Vacation made in Germany: The most beautiful hotels in Germany
The beautiful is not always in the distance. We show the best hotels in Germany - from Sylt to Tegernsee.
"Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten", Hamburg
Those who reside in the "Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten" in Hamburg from this summer onwards can let their eyes wander in the worlds of color of the new entrance when entering the building on Jungfernstieg. Just recently, the hotel with nine bars and restaurants and a view of the Binnenalster was named Germany's best hotel.
In 2015, all five floors of the hotel were renovated. The new interior is so varied that no two rooms (here, the Ralph Lauren Suite) are alike.
"The Wellem," Düsseldorf
Behind the walls of the neo-baroque Palace of Justice in Düsseldorf's Andreas Quarter, "The Wellem" has been open since last year. If you are already impressed by the impressive architecture, you should take a look inside. The walls of the hotel are adorned with works by Leon Löwentraut, Julian Schnabel and Jeff Koons.
The hotel behind the walls of Düsseldorf's Palace of Justice is named after Elector Jan Wellem, who championed the city's art scene.
"Swan Locke", Munich
The British lifestyle aparthotel brand Locke is venturing into Bavarian territory. This summer, the Schwan Locke opened not far from the Theresienwiese, a casually elegant boutique hotel with the philosophy "Home meets Hotel". For the interior, Locke hired London-based interior studio Fettle. Inspired by the classic principles of the Deutscher Werkbund, the rooms now feature soft red tones, Midcentury furniture and art by local talents.
