The Urban Jungle Bloggers are a community for plant-loving bloggers, started by Igor (Happy Interior Blog) and Judith (JOELIX.com).

Every month the Urban Jungle Bloggers blog about a different topic around cactus, monstera and co. It's been far too long since I've participated. And that as a self-confessed houseplant fanatic. I just blame it on the lack of time. But so close to the summer break I just took the time and carried my big cactus happily through the apartment. The one or other prick was not missing. True to the theme 1 plant - 3 stylings, the prickly buddy was allowed to settle in three different places in the apartment.

A cactus goes on a journey

The first stop for Monsieur Cactus is the bedroom. He actually stood there for quite a while. The dark green looks great against the soft pink wall, I think. With enough distance to the bed it can also not come to the nightly sting attack.

Next destination on the journey: the living room. In a rather dead corner, the cactus comes into its own next to the vintage rattan chair. Aren't the two a dream team? A touch of bohemian style. Meanwhile, the large monstera has taken over the role of bedroom plant. She's just rolling up a new leaf, the first since we moved into the new apartment. I was afraid she wouldn't forgive us for moving. Phew.

End of the line study. The idea to put the cactus in the study didn't occur to me until now.

But this is where I spend most of my time, so I have the cactus around me more often. I like that, because I like him despite his nasty spines so incredibly. Here he may also stay for the time being.
