Francesco Meda and David Lopez Quincoces new creative directors
Italian furniture company Acerbis was acquired last year by manufacturer MDF Italia. Through the combination, the two companies aim to jointly enter new markets and compete in the global market. As part of the merger, designers Francesco Meda and David Lopez Quincoces are taking over as creative directors of Acerbis. The two have held their own in the world of design and architecture and bring the right combination for a visionary look into the future, according to a press release from the companies.
To be better equipped for that very future, Meda and Lopez Quincoces first turned to the past. In the Acerbis archives, they searched for existing works that could stand the test of time. From the designs of Nanda Vigo, Gianfranco Frattini, Giotto Stoppino and other renowned designers, the two creative directors put together a collection of seven products to be officially unveiled in September 2020.
"Francesco and David each bring different specialties to the table, enabling an even broader perspective for Acerbis. They are new generation designers with a remarkably clear vision for the brand that draws on its extraordinary history and most outstanding products," said a statement.
