Designing instead of storing
With digitalization, the use of shelves is also changing. Instead of storing meters of books or folders, they are increasingly used to represent selected works, combined with art and lighting. Wogg 70 takes this change into account. Created by Swiss designer Matthieu Girel, the modular system consists of a fine tubular steel structure and shelves that can be used on two sides. They can either be positioned horizontally as simple storage surfaces with a protective back, or hung at an angle to serve as presentation surfaces.
Christophe Marchand, creative director of Swiss furniture manufacturer Wogg, sees the "metamorphic potential" of shelving, which invites not only storage but also creativity and design. He says, "Beyond the ingenuity of the system, there is an idea of discretion in this shelf that seduced us immediately."
Wogg 70 is available in two heights and two widths and can be strung together as a modular system. Whether office, living room, library, hotel foyer, bank or administration, the shelf can be used in both private and public spaces. juj
