A refrigerator full of parsley
Natural cooling with floral help is achieved by French architect Jean Nouvel with his White Wall Tower, heralding the architectural future of Nicosia.

The natural "brise soleil" covers almost the entire sürdliche facade of the building. The plants protect from the heat in summer, but let light through in winter.

The 18-story White Walls Tower in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus, overflows with greenery. French architect Jean Nouvel planted the lush balconies on the south side of the building, leaving only the north wall white.
The 67-meter-high building is surrounded by much lower structures - forming a new landmark for the city.

Pixel-shaped loggias extend along the east and west facades, which also muffle street noise.
