3 Days of Design - ingenious design news from Copenhagen

In Copenhagen, the showrooms of the Scandinavian design scene are again well attended for the 3 Days of Design. We have gathered the most exciting novelties from the north.

3 Days of Design ingenious design novelties from Copenhagen

When Copenhagen invites to the 3 Days of Design in September, usually autumn has long been in the air that blows through the streets of the Scandinavian design metropolis. Other ingredients: typical Nordic clarity and a touch of understatement. Which also applies to the design trends from Copenhagen - we have summarized which shapes and colors dominate the innovations this year.

Organic shapes at Ferm Living

Ferm Living brings the cooler season to life with new furniture, accessories and lighting and focuses on organic shapes. The edges of the "Mineral Sculptural Table" in Bianco Curia marble (999 euros) are chiseled by hand, and the "Oyster" wall lamp (545 euros) is cast from recycled aluminum.

Mater: Working with waste

The "Earth Stool" by Danish architect Eva Harlou is a product of the collaboration between Mater and Grohe. It conceals half plastic waste from Grohe production, the other half from BKI Coffee. This fall, the new "Light" color variant will be released.

Nordic Coziness by By Lassen

Like the other pieces in Flemming Lassen's Ingeborg series, the new two-and-a-half-seater feels like a gentle embrace. The sofa on oak legs is upholstered in a choice of sheepskin, bouclé and select fabrics from Kvadrat.

Montana draws from the archive

"Kevi" is a design by Danish architect Jørgen Rasmussen. With the acquisition of the Engelbrecht furniture company, Montana revived the classic chair design - now in eight new colors from its own palette.

Family affair - Note Design for Skagerak

"Pelago" is the new outdoor furniture series that brings everyone to the table. Note Design worked for four years on the collection for the Danish family company Skagerak . The chairs, tables and sun loungers made of teak can be cheerfully combined with each other - whether on large terraces or small balconies. Available from spring 2022.

&Tradition rehearses Heavy Metal

&Tradition launches new variants of the "Flowerpot" lamp once designed by Verner Panton. The futuristic design is now available in chrome and brass, among others. During the 3 Days of Design, &Tradition also invites visitors to the "Anchor an Identity" exhibition, which will populate various rooms with the brand's iconic exhibits.

Lean back with Vitra

Vitra's "HAL" family of chairs is getting a new addition. The British designer Jasper Morrison expanded the series with a reading chair along with an ottoman - the familiar aesthetics remain. The "HAL Lounge Chair" will be presented in the new Vitra showroom in Copenhagen, which will open during the 3 Days of Design.

Fritz Hansen dares color

With "Deep Clay" and "Light Beige," Arne Jacobsen's iconic "Series 7" chair shines in unfamiliar soft hues. Discover more new products from Fritz Hansen, fresh from the 3 Days of Design, here.
